Decimals and factors arrive in Maths. Science moves into systems, light and heat. It’s the year girls either start to see how ideas link, or start memorising without understanding. We make sure it’s the first.
A relaxed 30–45 minute chat where we look at her recent work together, find where she gets stuck, and show you how we’d help.
We follow the MOE Primary 4 syllabus, so everything she learns with us is what she meets at school.
Some topics use the same thinking skill, so we teach them side by side. When she sees the link, both make more sense.
Find and test lines of symmetry in real leaves and flowers.
Record, organise and read data, then explain what it shows.
Change one thing, observe the effect: how the angle of light changes a shadow.
Read, compare and order decimals in context, like thermometer readings.
Other topics are taught on their own, with the same care.
Twelve weekly sessions per Block, timed around her school’s Weighted Assessments.
We start in the December holidays, before school does, so Term 1 feels familiar. Each topic is built carefully, with preparation for WA1.
New topics continue, and earlier ones come back in short recall rounds so they stick. Preparation for WA2.
Harder, mixed questions that ask her to apply and explain, not just repeat. Preparation for WA3.
End-of-year exam preparation across every topic, then we fix the mistakes from her paper, and preview P5.
The order of topics may adjust to match her school’s schedule.
Most lost marks in P4 come from a few repeat patterns. We find hers, name them, and fix them.
